Emails and notifications

Sending the gallery by email, templates and their look, automatic client emails, the panel bell and unsubscribing.

How to email the gallery to your client You send the gallery email from the album with one button. It carries the sign-in link and the client's login and password, so your client doesn't have to look for anything or create an account. What your client sees in the gallery email The email has a fixed layout: a header with your brand, a greeting, an intro, a box with sign-in details, a button and a footer. You can change every one of these texts. How to change the email your client gets You edit the email text in the Email Template tab, separately for each language. The preview updates as you type, and Restore default content undoes everything in one click. Colors, font and button shape in the email Besides the text, you can change how the email looks: seven colors, the font, corner rounding and the button shape. This needs a Pro or Studio plan. Several email templates to choose from Besides the default template, you can keep your own named templates and pick one when you send. Handy when you write one way to a wedding couple and another way to a business. Your logo in the client email The email header shows your logo with your business name under it. Without an uploaded logo, the Picvelo logo appears there instead, so it's worth setting this up early. Different email text for one client Sometimes you don't need a new template, just one sentence written for a specific person. That's what the "Customize content" section in the gallery settings is for, under the send button. Can your client reply to the email? Yes. Emails to your client use your address as the reply-to, so the reply lands in your inbox, even though Picvelo's server sends them. What Picvelo sends your client on its own Besides the email you send yourself, your client gets two reminders sent automatically. Each one goes out once, and both respect an unsubscribe. Which emails Picvelo sends to you Picvelo emails you when a client did something or when something is waiting for you. You can turn all of these off with one link in the footer. The notification bell in your panel The bell at the top of the panel collects everything that happened while you were away. It works independently of emails, so you won't miss anything even after you unsubscribe from them. Unsubscribing from emails and coming back Every email from Picvelo has an unsubscribe link in the footer. It leads to a page where you turn off that type of email, and you can subscribe again at any time. Preview the email before you send it You don't have to email yourself to see what it looks like. There's a preview in two places, and it shows exactly what your client will get. Your client didn't get the email The panel says it was sent, but the client says there's nothing. Go through these five checks in order, because in practice it's almost always one of them.
