Watermark online: add a watermark to a photo for free
Upload a photo, type text or add a logo, set position and opacity, download the file. No sign-up, the photo never leaves your browser.
Everything happens in your browser. The photo is never sent or stored anywhere.
How to add a watermark to a photo
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP. Large camera files work too, the downloaded file keeps full resolution.
- Type text (studio name, website) or upload a PNG logo with a transparent background. Pick a corner, the center or tiles across the whole photo.
- Adjust size and opacity. 40-60 percent works for client previews, 20-30 for portfolio. Download the file.
A watermark on a single photo is a good start. With a 400-shot session you need a gallery that applies it to every preview automatically and removes it on download after payment.
Frequently asked questions
Does my photo get uploaded to a server?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser (Canvas API). The file is read locally, the watermark is applied on your computer and the downloaded image is created without sending any data.
Does the watermark reduce photo quality?
The file is saved in its original resolution. JPG is saved at 92 percent quality, PNG losslessly. The only change is the watermark itself.
Where should I place a watermark?
For client previews, tiles across the whole photo work best because they cannot be cropped out. For portfolio and social media a discreet corner mark is usually enough so it does not distract from the image.
What watermark opacity is right?
For protecting previews 40-60 percent: visible, but the photo can still be judged. For crediting authorship in a portfolio 20-30 percent. Below 20 percent a watermark is easy to remove in an editor.
How do I watermark many photos at once?
This tool handles one photo at a time. For whole sessions an online gallery applies the watermark automatically to every preview and releases clean files only after selection or payment.
