Emails and notifications

Unsubscribing from emails and coming back

Every email from Picvelo has an unsubscribe link in the footer. It leads to a page where you turn off that type of email, and you can subscribe again at any time.

1

The link is in the footer

You don't need to look for it in the panel or sign in. The preferences page opens from a signed link in the email, so it also works for your client, who has no panel account.

2

Types of emails

  • Selection notifications: what the client did in the gallery,
  • Gallery messages: emails to the client about their gallery,
  • Deadline reminders: an upcoming selection deadline,
  • Reports: periodic summaries,
  • Product news and updates: changes in Picvelo,
  • All notifications: turns everything off at once.
3

One click from your email app

Gmail and other apps show their own unsubscribe button on these emails. It works the same as the footer link and takes effect right away, without opening the page.

4

Coming back

The same page shows your current status. If you're unsubscribed, you see a Re-subscribe button. There's nothing to unblock by hand and no waiting period.

5

What unsubscribing doesn't stop

The gallery email you send yourself from the album reaches the client even if they unsubscribed earlier. It's a one-to-one email with sign-in details, so we treat it as a transactional message, not a newsletter. The automatic emails do stop: the nudge about an unfinished selection and the review request after unsubscribing from gallery messages, and the deadline reminder after unsubscribing from deadline reminders.
