Selling photos

What your client sees when they go over the package

Your client sees a counter with the extra photos, but the extra-photo price isn't in the gallery. It only appears on the payment page. The only price shown directly is the one for the whole gallery.

The counter with extras

When you set a package limit, your client gets a bar at the bottom of the gallery that shows how many photos they picked and how many of them go beyond the package. The extras are highlighted. At the top of the gallery they also see a package bar, for example "5 of 3 in package" and "+2 over package".

The whole-gallery price is visible

If you fill in the Full gallery ($) field, your client gets a button with the price on it. It's the only place in sales where the price appears directly in the gallery.

The moment of confirming

After your client clicks Confirm selection, one of two things happens, depending on whether you have a connected payout account:

  • with a payout account: your client goes to the Stripe page and sees the extra-photo price there for the first time,
  • without a payout account: the confirmation window says the order goes to you and you'll settle the payment directly.

How to tell your client the price in advance

Since the app doesn't show the rate next to the counter, it's worth sharing it earlier. Three places your client actually reads:

  • the gallery email, where you write how many photos are in the package and what each extra one costs,
  • a price list attached to the gallery, which your client sees above the photos in a collapsible "Pricing" box,
  • your conversation before the session, when you agree on the scope.
