Uploading and files

When Picvelo keeps full resolution

Files aren't resized in a delivery gallery. In a selection gallery we keep a working copy up to 2560 px.

1

Delivery gallery: always full quality

A delivery gallery exists so your client can download the final files, so we don't resize anything in it and don't add a watermark. Just upload your edited photos there. There's no switch, and you don't need one.

The "Full-quality archive" add-on is retired

This add-on made every gallery, including selection galleries, keep files without resizing. It's no longer sold. Accounts that bought it earlier still get full resolution in all galleries. If you want full files in Picvelo, upload them to a delivery gallery.

How to check what you have

  • photos in a delivery gallery: always full resolution,
  • photos in a selection gallery, without the add-on: up to 2560 px on the long side,
  • photos in a selection gallery, with the add-on bought before it was retired: full resolution,
  • you can see an add-on purchase in your payment history in the Billing & plan tab.

The storage bill

Full resolution takes several times more space in your plan than a working copy. Before you upload a big session to a delivery gallery, check the storage bar and figure out how many sessions you want to keep.
