Can my client see the EXIF metadata of my photos?

No. Your client gets processed previews that don't carry the original EXIF, IPTC or GPS data. The shooting details stay with you.

You upload a file with full metadata

An uploaded JPG usually holds the camera and lens model, exposure settings, the date, sometimes GPS coordinates and author details.

Original (kept on your side)
  • Camera: Canon EOS R5
  • Lens: RF 50mm f/1.2L
  • ISO 400 · 1/200 s · f/2.8
  • GPS: 52.2297° N, 21.0122° E
  • Author: Anna K.

Picvelo makes a preview for your client

The preview is created as a new image file, and we add the watermark to it. The original metadata blocks aren't copied in this step, so the preview carries no camera data, GPS or IPTC tags.

Version served to the client
  • Camera: removed
  • Lens: removed
  • ISO / Shutter: removed
  • GPS: removed
  • Author: removed

Your client sees only the image

Even if your client saves a preview from the gallery, the file won't tell them anything about your gear or where the session took place.

All metadata is stripped. The client sees only the image.
