Watermark

How to add your own watermark

A watermark keeps your previews from being used without your permission and shows your brand. Picvelo adds it automatically to every photo in your selection galleries.

1

Prepare your logo file

A PNG with a transparent background works best, 600 to 1200 px wide and under 5 MB (that's a hard upload limit). A white or light gray logo looks best on dark photos, a black one on light photos.

Open the Watermark tab

In the side menu of the panel, click Watermark. A custom watermark is available on the Pro and Studio plans. On Free, the Appearance group is grayed out and your photos get the default Picvelo watermark.

Pick a mode: image or text

The Watermark type switch has two options:

  • Image: click the File row and upload your own PNG with transparency, up to 5 MB,
  • Text: type your text and add tags with the Client, Session date and Gallery name chips. They insert {client}, {date} and {gallery}, and we fill them in for each photo.

Then set the Position (a corner, the center, or Repeat (tiled), which spreads the mark across the whole photo), Visibility, the size and color of the mark, Edge margin and Rotation.

Check the preview and update older photos

The live preview shows the result on a sample photo. Every change saves right away, so new photos get the new mark. Photos already in your galleries keep the old one: a bar appears above the settings with a Reprocess photos button, and Picvelo updates them in batches in the background. If the change should only apply from now on, click OK, new photos only.
